Singapore Airlines Starlink Wi-Fi upgrade



Singapore Airlines is taking its next step in upgrading in-flight connectivity, and this time it’s a fairly clear follow-through from what it first hinted at last year.

The airline has confirmed that it will adopt Starlink’s low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite broadband across parts of its fleet, with a rollout starting in Q1 2027 and stretching through to the end of 2029. The upgrade will cover its Airbus A350-900 long-haul and ultra-long-range variants, along with the Airbus A380. It’s safe to assume it will also be available on SIA’s much-delayed Boeing 777-9 aircraft too. But its A350-900 medium-haul, Boeing 777-300ER, 787-10 and 737-Max fleets have been excluded, for now.
