Yvonne Lim Reveals Why Her Family Is Putting Travel Plans On Hold This Year Due To Son’s Upcoming PSLE

Before accepting the role, the actress said she discussed it with them and explained that the character she would be playing was rather extreme.

Thankfully, they were understanding, which allowed her to focus on her performance with peace of mind.

But now that she’s done with the drama, Yvonne is evidently shifting her focus entirely to her son.

Yvonne and her family lived in Taipei for 10 years before moving back to Singapore in 2024. Both her children are now enrolled in local public schools.

According to the actress, they would usually travel back to Taipei during the holidays.

“But because my son is taking the PSLE this year, we don’t dare travel overseas,” she said.

“It would be a lie to say I’m not nervous. Every parent worries. My son has a school he hopes to get into, and as parents, we naturally hope he can achieve his goal.”

Thankfully, to Yvonne, the past decade she’s spent accompanying and guiding her children have not been in vain.

“We’ve instilled the right values in them, so they’re quite self-disciplined when it comes to studying,” said the actress.

Yvonne also enjoys being by her children’s side while they study.

“My son feels more at ease when I’m beside him [while he’s studying],” she quipped.

“I often tell my children not to leave everything until the last minute. If they revise regularly, they’ll feel more confident and won’t see exams as something frightening.”
