After an underwhelming start to their World Cup campaign, Brazil came in hot for their match against Haiti. Mattheus Cunha, who started in place of Igor Thiago, made his presence felt when he scored the opener. There was some doubt over whether it was an own goal by Haiti. No such doubts for the second by Cunha, a stinging shot to the top side doubled Brazil’s lead. Vinicius Junior, who had been heavily involved in the first two goals, earned a well-deserved goal of his own with a superb run to get on the end of a Lucas Paqueta pass, before slotting in through the legs of the Haitian keeper. No goals in the second half as Haiti abandoned their 5 at the back, to put more pressure on the midfield, but the damage had been done, and Brazil secured their first three points of the tournament. #mothershipstories #worldcup
