The Pokmon Company has announced a new commemorative expansion for the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) as part of the franchise’s 30th anniversary celebrations.
Called Pokemon TCG: 30th Celebration, the expansion will launch globally on 16 September 2026. This also marks the first time a Pokemon TCG expansion will receive a coordinated worldwide release across participating markets on the same day. The company says additional products tied to the anniversary set will be released throughout the year.
The anniversary expansion is designed as a celebration of the card game’s three-decade history, bringing back a selection of classic cards while also introducing entirely new collectibles. Every card in the set will feature a foil treatment, and booster packs will contain five foil cards, one foil Basic Energy card, and a Pokemon TCG Live code card. Needless to say, these cards are going to be highly sought after.
