This Minor Setting Is All But Mandatory In The Adventures Of Elliot

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is Square Enix’s take on a classic Zelda-style action-adventure game, complete with a sword-swinging protagonist and bombable walls. And like a lot of Zelda games, you have a fairy companion chatting with you throughout. Faie the fairy talks with Elliot, and she talks a lot. Arguably too much! But if you don’t want her to chime in quite so often, the settings menu has a fix for that.

In the Game Settings menu, under the Basic Settings header, is an option called “Partner chattiness.” By default this is set to “Talkative,” but you can switch it at any time to “Reticent.” For most of the game, your partner is Faie, though for a little while near the beginning you’re partnered with the princess, Heuria.
