The world’s best-selling smartphone in the first quarter of 2026 will surprisingly miss out on two new Siri AI features when iOS 27 rolls out later this year.
During WWDC 2026, Apple revealed that its most advanced on-device Siri AI models requires at least 12GB of RAM to run. As a result, the iPhone 17 does not meet the hardware requirements for these features, despite being part of Apple’s latest flagship lineup.
At first glance, the omission may seem significant. However, whether iPhone 17 users should be concerned depends largely on how important these specific features are to their daily usage.
