2027 will mark the 20th anniversary of the iPhone, and Apple is reportedly planning a major redesign to commemorate the milestone.
According to Bloomberg, the company remains on track to launch a special anniversary model in 2027 featuring a “nearly edge-to-edge display” and a design built around “curved glass that wraps around the sides”. If accurate, it would represent one of the most dramatic visual overhauls since the iPhone X in 2017.
Bloomberg’s description aligns with previous reports that Apple is pursuing an all-screen design with ultra-thin bezels and curved glass edges. The long-term goal has reportedly always been to achieve an iPhone design that looks like a single sheet of glass. If this sounds somewhat familiar it’s because that’s what Apple said when they launched the M4 iPad Pro.
