If your dinosaurs feel stressed or uncomfortable, they can become aggressive, break out of enclosures, or even fall sick. To make sure your park is safe, has a high appeal, and will be successful in the long run, you need to make the dinosaurs comfortable in Jurassic World Evolution 3.
How to Increase Comfort For Dinosaurs
There are three main things you can do to keep your dinosaurs happy and their comfort levels high.
Change Their Surroundings
The first step to improving comfort is to make sure your dinosaurs feel at home in their enclosures. Every species has unique environmental preferences that you can view by clicking on the dinosaur and checking the Comfort tab in its info window. This will show what kind of terrain, vegetation, and space it needs to be happy and comfortable.
Use the Environment tab on the left side of your screen to make adjustments.
If you hover over a dinosaur, you’ll see its comfort indicators in real time. If your dinosaur is unhappy, you can use the Edit Environment option to tweak its environment immediately and make it more comfortable. Keeping each enclosure close to its natural habitat ensures your dinosaurs stay calm, healthy, and visually appealing for park guests.
Let Them Breed
Once your dinosaurs are comfortable in their surroundings, you can take things further by letting them breed. Breeding is not only a natural way to expand your park’s population but also helps maintain a healthy social balance within certain species.
Dinosaurs that can reproduce tend to act more naturally and experience less stress. To enable breeding, make sure you’ve researched enough of a species’ genome to hatch both males and females, and then unlock nesting areas. Smaller dinosaurs can manage with simple nests, while larger species will require more advanced nesting sites.
Give Them Some Friends
Like humans, dinosaurs like having companions too. Many dinosaurs require a specific number of companions to feel secure, while others prefer solitude. Check the Social needs in the dinosaur’s info panel to find the right balance.
Adding compatible species or companions of the same kind can increase comfort levels for dinosaurs and prevent loneliness.
Be careful not to mix rival species or overcrowd an enclosure. Too many dinosaurs can lead to stress and fights.
