Patrice Désilets, the creator of Assassin’s Creed, has spent 16 years making his next project. He finally revealed it at Summer Game Fest 2026. It’s a witchcraft-fueled dark fantasy called 1666: Amsterdam. Désilets made a brief prologue demo available for free now on Steam and the Epic Games Store after Summer Game Fest ends and plans to launch 1666: Amsterdam in early access sometime later in 2026.
