OPPO Enco Clip2: Dual-driver TWS earbuds

OPPO Enco Clip2: Dual-driver TWS earbuds

OPPO has announced a sequel to its Enco Clip TWS earbuds, titled (unsurprisingly) the Enco Clip2. As the name suggests, the defining feature of the earbuds is their design. The buds are meant to clip around the ear providing a more comfortable and secure fit.

While that fundamental design has been kept, though there are a host of changes to refine the earbuds.

Chief among them is the dual-driver configuration. This new model features a 9mm and 11mm dynamic driver setup in each earbud, alongside a dual DAC system. Its predecessor, if you recall, only had a single 11mm dynamic driver.

The OPPO Enco Clip2 features a new dual-driver design, but keeps the dual DACs that power them.

Audio has also been tuned by Danish audio company Dynaudio, mostly known for their speakers. The collaboration has resulted in a sound profile that’s “reminiscent of live music performances”, OPPO claims.

To improve call-taking, it features Crystal-Clear Bone Calls, which uses a bone-conduction VPU (voice pickup unit) to amplify your voice by picking up vibrations made through your jaw and ear canal. It’s a feature we’ve seen before on previous earbuds, like the Nothing Ear (3), and it’s bolstered on the Enco Clip2 by AI noise reduction.

The Enco Clip2 also features a nickel-titanium arc which allows the clip arc on the earbuds to fit more naturally with different ear shapes.

You can expect an IP55 water and dust resistance rating on the earbuds (not on the case, however), as well as a battery capacity of 530mAh for the case and 58mAh on the buds themselves. As for battery life, OPPO claims up to 9.5 hours of use on a single charge, and up to 40 hours with the charging case.

Finally, connectivity is upgraded from the original Enco Clips, with support for Bluetooth 6.1 and the high-res LHDC 5.0 codec. These buds also support the standard AAC and SBC codecs.
