In a parliamentary response to Member of Parliament Wan Rizal on governmental support in the event of possible disruptions to Hajj arrangements, Acting Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Faishal Ibrahim said he understands that pilgrims may be concerned about the financial impact if Hajj is cancelled or disrupted. He added that the Government is in close contact with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (MOHU) and the Association of Muslim Travel Agents Singapore to ensure that affected pilgrims receive the necessary support and financial assistance based on the “prevailing circumstances”. This includes the possibility of priority being given to affected pilgrims in subsequent years, subject to the annual quota allocated by MOHU. #mothershipnews #mothershipparliament
