Speaking in Parliament on Mar. 5, Goh Hanyan, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, said that the Somerset Belt — comprising the area around Somerset MRT Station, *SCAPE, Somerset Youth Park, and Somerset Skate Park — will be developed as a youth precinct. Through the Somerset Belt Youth CoLab, 15 youths will lead the spaces and activities there, with an annual budget of S$300,000 was announced to help bring their ideas to life. Youths also worked alongside architects and planners on the design and programmes for the Somerset Belt.#mothershipparliament
