More fast travel points and easier boss fights should improve the Greymane life
With the arrival of patch 1.00.03, Crimson Desert‘s developers have begun the monumental task of improving the game’s control system, quality-of-life features, and performance. Following a day one patch, which already reduced boss fight difficulty, preponed certain quests, and added teleport waypoints to Hernand town and the Greymane Camp, the latest update is the largest one yet.
Generally speaking, Crimson Desert version 1.00.03 fixes several quest bugs, such as the faulty cat in the “Reunion” quest and “Turnali’s Request” not completing, and improves performance issues, such as awkward animations, failure to save settings, and low input response times.
The full patch notes can be read on Crimson Desert‘s official website, but here’s an overview of the most important gameplay changes:
- The Howling Hill Camp now contains a private storage to deposit any inventory items you’d like to keep.
- More Abyss Nexus fast travel points have been added throughout Pywel.
- Food restores more health.
- Skill observation is only required once to learn the skill, and Force Palm is obtained earlier in the game.
- The Lantern has a higher range.
- Nature’s Grasp drains less stamina.
- Chopping trees is faster and no longer requires precise aiming.
- Acquiring knowledge takes less time.
- Marksmanship, archery, and arm wrestling contests are less difficult.
- If playing on keyboard and mouse, the following shortcuts have been added: inventory (I), skills (K), journal (J), and map (M).
- Boss fights are made easier by reducing their HP and attack power, reducing the stamina cost of blocking, and boosting the stun gauge accumulation upon successful parries.
Crimson Desert version 1.00.03 has already been released on Steam and PlayStation, but will arrive on Xbox, Epic Games Store, and Mac App Store at a later time.
