A resident in Ghim Moh was surprised to hear and see fireworks erupting at around 11pm on Mar. 20.
He told Mothership that the fireworks lasted about five minutes and appeared to have been originating from the car park near Ghim Moh Block 16A.
He also said he heard cheers of celebration in the vicinity.

Police investigating
In response to Mothership‘s queries, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said they were alerted to a case of discharge of fireworks at Block 16A Ghim Moh Road at about 11:15pm.
No injuries were reported and police investigations are ongoing, they said.

The resident also saw SPF and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel on site.
