Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted a video of himself drinking coffee at a café on the outskirts of Jerusalem on Mar. 15, after Iranian state media claimed that he had been killed or injured. Netanyahu replied with a pun on the word “dead”, which in Hebrew slang can also mean being “crazy about” something. He also showed his hands to the camera, debunking social media speculation that his recent televised address was AI-generated after viewers claimed to have spotted six fingers on one hand. According to Reuters, they verified the café’s location by matching the interior with file imagery and confirmed the date through photos and videos of the visit posted by the café. Since the United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran on Feb. 28, Netanyahu has visited several sites hit by Iranian missiles, including towns, a hospital, a port, and military bases. Emergency restrictions imposed since the conflict began have banned public gatherings across Israel, with many residents staying close to shelters and schools being closed in much of the country. #mothershipabroad
