Health Minister Ong Ye Kung announced in Parliament on Mar.5 that the Ministry of Health plans to use a locally-developed AI model designed to predict if a person is at high risk of developing chronic diseases, such as heart diseases, diabetes and high cholesterol, within the next three years. This AI risk assessment tool will be rolled out to doctors from early 2027. If the tool flags a patient as high-risk, their doctor may recommend more significant lifestyle adjustments and annual screenings instead of the usual three-yearly ones, which will continue to be subsidised under Healthier SG. #mothershipparliament
