DLSS 4.5 coming to RTX 50-series cards


Back in January, we covered Nvidia’s new DLSS 4.5 upscaler, which was released for RTX cards during CES. Half of that initial announcement was about Super Resolution, where upscaled scenes now had reduced ghosting, smearing and flickering. However, the other half was notably held back from release: Dynamic Multi Frame Generation.

A few months later, at Game Developers Conference, Nvidia has announced a release date for it: 31 March for RTX 50 series cards.

To get you up to speed, rather than constantly inserting frames to every scene, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation would now adjust the frame multiplier depending on how graphically intense the scene is. The greater the workload on your GPU, the more frames added to compensate, and vice versa.
