I had to find out if this was one of the best smoky beef short ribs in Singapore after multiple people told me about @southandeastsg! Located within the NUS Shaw Foundation Alumni House, they serve up southeast Asian flavours with a nice range of charcoal grilled dishes! First off, they’ve got yummy sharing dishes like the BBQ Claypot Laksa Rice with Seafood ($28) that comes with a laksa gravy to add extra depth to the dish, on top of their generous portions of prawns and clams! And also an extremely addictive Grilled Cabbage with Kaffir Lime Sauce ($15) that actually convinced me that vegetables can be really tasty! When it comes to mains they do have a vegetarian option with a Smoked Cauliflower with Roasted Corn Sauce ($18) or if you love fish, the Grilled Fish Fillet with Spiced Coconut Sauce ($28) was herbaceous and extremely hearty! But the star has got to be the Signature Five Spice Smoked Beef Short Ribs ($67 for Half, $78 for extra large)! Perfectly seasoned, the meat is nicely marbled with a good bite to it, and absolutely amazing with the BBQ Kecap Manis Sauce, adding a sweet savoury flavour to the smoky meat! Overall, truly one of the best beef short ribs around 🤤 📍 South & East, NUS Shaw Foundation Alumni House #sgfoodie #beefshortribs #sgrestaurant #beefribs #creatorsearchinsights
