OPPO Reno15 series launches in Singapore

OPPO has updated its mid-range, cameras-first smartphones, and we’re now at the OPPO Reno15 series with three models available in Singapore:

• OPPO Reno15 5G
• OPPO Reno15 F 5G
• OPPO Reno15 Pro Max 5G

OPPO’s Reno15 series is slightly different from most other phone lineups where its handsets cut across entry-level to flagship-lite categories. The OPPO Reno15 is the mid-range representative, while the Reno15 F is better for cost-conscious users who want the same optimisations that sacrifice some hardware perks. The top-end alternative is the Reno15 Pro Max, packing in the best showcase of the Reno series’ love for content creators and selfie lovers.

Across the board, all three models feature a 6,500mAh battery and 80W wired SuperVOOC charging, which offers longer battery life to keep up with younger users. All three are also running ColorOS 16, OPPO’s take on Android 16 that keeps core services like the Google Play Store and Google Mobile Services.

Other perks consistent across all three models are their AMOLED panels with 120Hz maximum refresh rate, IP-rated dust and water resistances, and their software-based photo-editing suite.

Older but still useful features are also on the Reno15 series phones, like its AI LinkBoost 3.0 optimisation for connectivity needs, and the O+ Connect app makes it easier to transfer files to iOS and iPadOS, while offering screen mirroring for macOS and Windows.

The three phones primarily differ on their choice of chipset and rear cameras offered, with Reno15 and Reno15 Pro Max having optical zoom via telephoto cameras. Reno15 F, the budget-friendly alternative, uses a macro camera instead.

Easier editing for creative portrait photos

Available on the Reno15 series is its AI Portrait Glow algorithmic suite. It collectively acts as a digital lighting assistant to correct exposure, salvage poorer lighting, and artistically enhance photos.

Other editing tools include Popout, which merges multiple photos to create a layered final image with the main subject breaking the fourth wall (as pictured above). It can go even further with AI Motion Popout to turn the content into an animation.

Motion Photos (OPPO’s equivalent of Live Photos seen on iOS) now come with AI Motion Photo Eraser. It’s for removing unwanted objects in these Motion Photos. There’s also AI Motion Photo Slow-Mo that converts Motion Photos into slow-motion cinematic sequences.

For short video creation, the three devices all have 4K HDR Ultra-Steady video that keeps high dynamic range across colours, advanced stabilisation, and 4K resolution recordings into one.

To further assist in “one-take” selfie videos, Reno15 series also have Dual-View Video that activates both front and rear cameras for simultaneous recording.

Note: Reno15’s optical telephoto zoom works out to approximately 3x of its main camera, while Reno15 Pro Max’s optical zoom is roughly 3.3x of its main camera.
