It’s that time of the year when we welcome the arrival of Samsung’s latest Galaxy S series of smartphones. Albeit a month later than the last few years, in January 2026, Samsung launched its first Trifold phone, which explains the slightly longer wait.
Much like last year, the company launched the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra during its Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event, along with a slew of accessories to help you keep your new purchase shiny and protected.
With the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung has dialled up its focus on what truly makes an AI phone with improved intelligence, security, privacy, and some tangible hardware upgrades like more powerful processors, better lens and more. Dive into these stories as we showcase the top highlights of the new Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy S26+ and S26, as well as the accompaniment of new Galaxy Buds 4 earbuds.

The recommended retail prices for the devices are tabulated below. To get a quick idea of how it measures up against last year’s devices, we’ve also captured those prices in brackets:-
| Model / Memory + Storage | Galaxy S26 Ultra | Galaxy S26+ | Galaxy S26 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 16GB+1TB | S$2,578 ($2,368) | — | — |
| 12GB+512GB | S$2,128 ($2,008) | S$1,928 ($1,658) | S$1,738 ($1,468) |
| 12GB+256GB | S$1,828 ($1,828) | S$1,628 ($1,478) | S$1,438 ($1,288) |
With the ongoing trade wars and the extreme pressures from memory and storage brands catering to the rise of AI at the enterprise level, it’s no secret why device costs are rising. That said, in our opinion, the worst affected are the Galaxy S26 and S26+ models, which are facing price hikes of $150 to $270 over their predecessors.
However, the Galaxy S26 Ultra see very limited price movements, and the 256GB base edition even manages to keep the price point identical to last year. Meanwhile, the 1TB SKU now offers more memory and better justifies its price hike.
Our takeaway: Get the Galaxy S26 Ultra model to maximise your investment. It’s a clear sign that Samsung is prioritising its efforts towards its hero model and has traditionally moved more units.
