Since its 2023 founding, Tipsy Unicorn has faced other controversies involving Tipsy Bird’s sole shareholder, Tipsy Collective. In 2024, investors sued the hospitality group for alleged financial mismanagement, saying development costs doubled from S$3 million to S$6 million despite warnings. They added that the company owed about S$5.2 million to suppliers, contractors and other creditors. Mothership has reached out to Tipsy Unicorn and Tipsy Collective for comment. #mothershipnews
