“(The best thing that happened to me was) joining HRCY (a dance crew whose name is pronounced ‘hierarchy’), because I have wanted to join an outside crew for a while now, and I have always looked up to and watched HRCY from afar, so it’s been unreal that I even get to train with them, which is also a milestone in my dance journey.” – Mr Cassius Tang, 19, a student from Singapore Polytechnic
Singapore Polytechnic student Syazmira Samsaimond never thought she would go on her first trip in 2025 to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with a good friend.

“(The best thing) I would say is exercising my free will more this year. I realised I’d been waiting for an opportunity to come, rather than having the urge to say, ‘Yes, let’s do it.’ I never would have thought that I would go on my first trip with a good friend of mine to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam… (My favourite part was) being stuck together in a foreign country for the first time; it (gave us) new discoveries about each other and, with that, it made us more vulnerable to each other too.” – Ms Syazmira Samsaimond, 19, a student from Singapore Polytechnic
