Seafood supplier goes around giving free meals to foreign workers, asks them about life here, Lifestyle News

While most suppliers are focused on their deliveries, one local seafood vendor is taking a detour to nourish the community that has helped build Singapore into today’s metropolis.

In a video posted to TikTok on Wednesday (Sept 2), a staff from Catch Seafood can be seen riding a bicycle, approaching two men dressed in construction safety gear.

He then proceeds to ask them if they want food.

“Hi guys, you want free food?” asks the staff. “Pasta, can ah?”

One of the men can then be seen nodding his head.

The Catch Seafood staff then checks if they have seafood allergies and can take spiciness, before handing over two packed meals from an insulated bag.

The staff continues chatting with them. From the conversation, it is revealed that the two men — one from India, one from Bangladesh — are construction workers having their break time.

One of them intends to get married and start a family when he returns home, adding that Singapore has been good and that his pay is “ok”.

Not the first time

The video, which has garnered over 66,000 views as of publishing time, is the third of a series of videos where the Catch Seafood staff member can be seen giving free meals to foreign workers in Singapore.
