Armor is not just unavoidable; it’s absolutely necessary to survive the major fights in Roblox The Forge. Mobs, like the Elite Deathaxe Skeletons and especially Reapers, can chip away a huge chunk of your HP just by a single strike. On top of that, if you’ve unlocked the third world, Frostspire Expanse, you’ll encounter some of the deadliest enemies in the game’s universe.

The Forge Armor Tier List
For those unsure how to choose armor using this tier list in The Forge, SS-tier pieces are the best options available and offer the highest defense, which can be further boosted through enhancing.
S-tier armor is the second-best choice, with A-tier sets recommended for dealing with the enemies across Stonewake’s Cross and the lower-threat areas of the Ruined Cave in the Forgotten Kingdom. B-tier armor suits beginners, while C-tier pieces are the weakest and should be replaced as soon as better war gear is crafted.

Best The Forge Armor, Explained
As of now, there are seven armor sets in The Forge (21 pieces in total), which typically include helmets, chestplates, and leggings. You can craft each piece individually by following its respective recipe, which you can also check in our detailed armor guide here. These are examples of some of the ideal defensive gear for players at each stage of the game.
Early-game Armor Build
If you’re on the starting island, Stonewake’s Cross, or completing the first few quests in the Forgotten Kingdom, like Barakkulf’s Basalt Extraction or Sensei Moro, which involve a lot of grinding and facing lighter foes, the heavy Knight armor set (the Knight helmet, leggings, and chestplate) is all you need to put on.
Mid-game Armor Build
Once you take on intermediate-level, combat-focused quests like Captain Rowen’s 1-to-5 or Masked Stranger’s Skeletal Threat, you’ll need better battle gear. The Dark Knight armor set is your go-to here. You can still manage Captain Rowen’s final quest and Amber’s Elite Threat with the respective gear (with significant defense stats, of course), but if you’ve gained access to Frostspire Expanse, try smithing and equipping the full Wolf Armor set to prevent elites and Reapers from eating up massive HP in one hit.
Late-game Armor Build
The Wolf helmet, chestplate, and leggings are the current armor meta in The Forge, and they’ll help you get through the end-game easily. However, make sure to craft the masterwork-quality pieces with 500+ defense stats for maximum benefit. Simply visit the Enhancer’s Shop and upgrade them using essences dropped by enemies.
