Do note that I eyeballed the portions for the dipping sauce. ingredients 📝 25-30 pieces deep fried tofu 3/4 large onion 200g minced beef 6-7 large potatoes 7 garlic cloves 1 heaping tbsp of chicken seasoning 1 heaping tbsp of white pepper salt to taste 1 stalk of coriander leaves fried shallots 2 eggs 1 tsp cornstarch A pinch of salt [Dipping sauce] mix of red and green bird’s eye chilies coriander leaves garlic cloves fried shallots ABC sweet soy sauce Kipas Udang sweet soy sauce oil Process 🥘🔪 [Begedil] 1) Finely chop the coriander leaves and dice onions. 2) Peel potatoes, thinly slice the potatoes. Fry the potatoes until slightly golden. 3) Sauté the diced onions and add minced beef. Stir until fully cooked and the liquid has evaporated. 4) Cut the surface of the dried tofu and remove the filling. Set aside both the filling and the dried tofu. 5) Mash the fried potatoes until smooth, add in fried mixture, chicken seasoning, white pepper, and salt, coriander leaves, fried shallots. I also added the tofu fillings. Mix all the ingredients until well combined. 6) Shape the filling into small balls and stuff them back into the dried tofu. 7) Crack the eggs into a bowl, add a pinch of salt, and beat until well mixed. 8) Dip the stuffed tofu into the egg mixture and fry in hot oil until golden brown. 9) Remove, drain the oil, serve with sauce. [Dipping sauce] 1) Combine all ingredients 2) Blend till smooth. 3) Transfer to a hot oiled pan. (I added a little bit of water) 4) Cook for 3-4 mins.
