Call of Duty Season 1 is Crossing Over With Fallout

Treyarch has announced that Season 1 Reloaded of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone is officially crossing over with the Fallout TV show. The new Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone collaboration will arrive at some point during the airing of Fallout Season 2. However, there’s reason to believe that some Call of Duty fans won’t be thrilled with this latest crossover.

For years, there was some feeling among the community that skins in Call of Duty had gone too far. It seemed as though Activision was primed to address this with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, when it made the decision to ditch Carry Forward cosmetics from BO6 and recommit to the idea that “bundles and items will be crafted to fit the Black Ops identity.” It also said that “Black Ops 7 needs to feel authentic to Call of Duty and its setting.” However, that hasn’t stopped the crossovers from arriving in the new game pretty quickly. And while Fallout isn’t quite as detached from the Call of Duty aesthetic as something as rogue as Black Ops 6‘s controversial Beavis & Butt-Head crossover, it still might be a disappointment for those who had hoped to see BO7 be a full return to the classic grounded COD experience.

Not only did Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s Astra Malorum map add weight to a recent Zombies rumor, but it lays the groundwork for an unexpected map.

Call of Duty is Getting Another Fallout Crossover

The official Call of Duty account on X revealed that as part of Season 1 Reloaded in Black Ops 7 and Warzone, a crossover with the Fallout TV show is on the way. While the brief reveal didn’t confirm exactly what the collaboration will include, it did feature the silhouettes of Lucy MacLean, The Ghoul, and Maximum, implying all three will soon be playable Operators in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone. All three appear to be holding weapons, too, leaving the possibility on the table that there could also be Fallout-themed weapon skins on the way to Call of Duty soon enough.

As it stands, Treyarch has yet to reveal exactly when Season 1 Reloaded will launch. A look at the game’s timer countdown for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1 Battle Pass indicates that it’s planned to end on February 5, after which Season 2 will likely begin. This means that Season 1 Reloaded will likely arrive in early January, putting it right between Season 1’s start date on December 4. In the meantime, gamers should keep an eye on the official Call of Duty social media accounts for more concrete details on what to expect from the upcoming Fallout crossover.

This collaboration isn’t the first time that Call of Duty and Fallout have crossed over. Back in 2024, a Modern Warfare 3 bundle offered tons of Weapon Blueprints and Operator Skins, including Vault 141 suits for Price, Ghost, Soap, and Gaz. There were 18 cosmetics in total in that bundle, and gave players a fun Fallout fix around the time the first season of the TV adaptation was aired. However, that initial crossover didn’t necessarily focus on specific characters, as it seems this upcoming one will.

It’s going to be an interesting few years for the Call of Duty franchise. For once, the annual Call of Duty launch wasn’t even close to being the best-selling game of the year, with Black Ops 7 massively struggling compared to its predecessors. The strong competition from Battlefield 6 certainly didn’t help, and it’s a sign of the times that Call of Duty is seemingly suffering from franchise fatigue after years of sales dominance. There are already rumors about how the next few years of the franchise will play out, but there’s nothing concrete at this point. As a result, gamers should wait and see what the development studios behind Call of Duty have planned, when they’re ready to announce it.
