Tech Awards 2025 Readers’ Choice Results – Part 5

You’ve read our picks in the Editor’s Choice series showcasing the best products of the year as tested by our editorial team, and now we present the results of the Readers’ Choice series of Tech Awards 2025.

This year, we had 52 award categories for polling and after a month of compiling the results, we’re ready to share the outcome to help Singaporeans make an informed buying decision and highlight why these brands came out ahead.

This article is Part 5 (out of 8) and covers the six awards that comprise the Best of Service Providers. Be sure to check out the rest of the results from all the other categories that have been published previously.

Best Smartwatch Brand – Apple

Is it any wonder that Apple has clinched top spot yet again in the Best Smartwatch Brand category? Take a walk outside and count the number of Apple Watches you see on people’s wrists. While Apple remains the undisputed leader of this category, its share has fallen slightly from 53% last year to 49%. Samsung and Garmin are a distant second and third with 14% and 13% respectively. It will be interesting to see if Apple manages to gain more votes next year, seeing that it recently released the Apple Watch SE 3, its latest entry-level Apple Watch.

Best Wireless Earbuds Brand – Apple

Apple’s tiny white earbuds are ubiquitous at this point. Take a walk outside, and it’s almost impossible not to see them in someone’s ears. Therefore, it’s unsurprising to see that Apple has once again won the Best Wireless Earbuds Brand category with a whopping ~35% of the votes. No other brand comes close. Sony is a distant second with 10%, while JBL is third with 8%. And if anything, Apple’s lead could increase next year with the truly exceptional AirPods Pro 3.

Best Noise Cancelling Headphones Brand – Apple

There’s not much movement in this category, too, as Apple held on to the top spot this year with over 27% of the votes. Sony remains second with 21%, which is almost the same as last year. This is somewhat surprising to note because it has been years since the release of the AirPods Max, their only product in this category. The only update it received last year was in the form of USB-C ports. And as for Sony, the brand released the critically acclaimed WH-1000XM6, which I would have thought would surely lead to a notable increase in votes this year, that is more than a one percentage point difference over last year.

Best Wireless Speaker Brand – JBL

JBL held on to first spot in the Best Wireless Speaker Brand category. It also increased its share of votes from 17% last year to 23% this year. This came at the expense of rivals like Bose, whose share of votes fell from 16% to 14%, and Sonos, whose share of votes fell from 11% to 8%. JBL’s strong showing is not unexpected, given that the brand has been heavily marketing itself at shows across Singapore. Who can miss the bright sights of the JBL PartyBox? Furthermore, the brand recently updated its lineup of soundbars and is ready to take over readers’ homes.

Best Camera Brand – Canon

Canon retained top spot in the Best Camera Brand category but saw its share of the votes fall once again. It used to command around 38% of the votes, but fell to 34% last year, and then to 33% this year. However, it continues to maintain a sizeable lead over rivals Nikon and Sony, which are tied for second place with 21% of the votes. Nikon, however, will be slightly disappointed because its share of votes fell from 23% last year to 21%. Leica is third with 14%, and Fujifilm is fourth with 8% – up from 6% last year. Fujifilm’s encouraging performance comes on the back of a year of strong releases with cameras like the X-T30 III and GFX100RF.
