Singapore’s Under-22 football team bowed out of SEA Games 2025 after a 0-3 defeat to host Thailand at the Rajamangala National Stadium on Dec. 11. This marks the sixth consecutive time the Young Lions have exited the SEA Games tournament in the group stages. When asked if he will step down, Young Lions head coach Firdaus Kassim told The Straits Times: “It’s too early for me to answer now. I’ll have a conversation with the management and see what the direction is.” The exit comes a day after the women’s football team also ended their SEA Games campaign, following a 0-2 loss to Thailand.
