Singapore opened its SEA Games swimming campaign on Dec. 10 with two golds, led by Letitia Sim in the women’s 50m breaststroke. Her 31.03s time was just shy of her national record. Mikkel Lee and Quah Zheng Wen claimed gold and silver in the men’s 100m freestyle, with Lee setting a personal best of 48.65s. Quah Zheng Wen later earned bronze in the 100m backstroke, ending a run of five consecutive victories, while Quah Jing Wen also took bronze in the women’s 200m butterfly.
