On Dec. 10, a day after the opening ceremony of SEA Games 2025, Cambodia announced the immediate withdrawal of its entire delegation, reported local media. The National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) cited safety concerns and urgent requests from the athletes’ families for their return, amid escalating border clashes with Thailand. Fighting at the Thai-Cambodian border resumed on Dec. 8, after Thailand confirmed it conducted air strikes against Cambodian targets. At least 10 people have been killed and thousands displaced.
