The sport’s sharp plastic-on-paddle smack has already sparked a wave of noise complaints. According to CNA, over 700 were lodged with the Municipal Services Office between January 2024 and August 2025.

Even Holland -Bukit Panjang Town Council took an extra step and has banned pickleball at community hardcourts in September this year.

Netizen reaction have been mixed.

Some were against it, calling the pickleball player selfish and inconsiderate.

“Good luck with the noise, Serangoon North residents,” read a comment.

However, others defended her right to enjoy the sport without being blasted online.

“Singapore is really a depressing country. A person can’t even go down to play something they like during the middle of the day. Have to expose them all over social media,” read a terse comment.

Another hit back at the criticism and wrote, “It’s not 10pm yet, right? There is no issue then. Let her be”.

But some relief is on the horizon. Eight new courts are being built at Little India Bus Terminal by early 2026, and another facility at 179 Piccadilly in Seletar.
