The former primary school canteen vendor who went viral for his TikTok videos is now starting over, converting his home-based drinks stall into a brick and mortar store at Katong Shopping Centre.
Last month, Rayner Tan, 27, shut down his vegetarian food stall at Mee Toh School following a complaint about a viral video, in which he was seen gently reprimanding a boy for tossing a two-dollar note at him.
Mr Tan then launched Corner Pane, a stall selling drinks like matcha latte and iced coffee from his HDB flat bedroom window .
On Dec 2, the former engineer uploaded a post captioned “Starting a new store @ Katong Shopping Centre”, touting a seven-day countdown series on his TikTok account @veg.eng.
In the clips shared so far, “D-7” shows him arranging his store layout and appealing to netizens for ideas, while “D-6” features the Canva-designed collaterals for the stall.
