Developer Worsehorse Studios has released a brand-new hotfix update for its smash-hit medieval RPG, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The new patch is available to download now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, bringing the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 game version to 1.5.2 with a plethora of fixes across some of the game’s most vital elements, including one for yet another issue with the title’s rain mechanics. Players have voiced their concerns with rain visuals in the past, but now there has been a prominent issue with the game’s audio when it rains, which has thankfully now been addressed in the December 2 update.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was a massive success for Warhorse Studios when it was released in February, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t have its fair share of issues. The most prominent of which was regarding the rain visuals in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which players weren’t happy about. Not only was the feature regularly glitchy and unappealing to look at, but it would also often rain indoors, making it a visual eyesore and nearly impossible to navigate certain areas when the lighting was already quite dark. Warhorse did go on to improve the rain via numerous patches shortly after its release, but there has now been a new issue with the game’s rain that players will be glad to know has been fixed in the game’s most recent update.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Releases Hotfix 1.5.2
A new update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available to download and install right now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The patch, which brings the RPG to version 1.5.2, addresses an audio issue with the game’s rain, which was being incorrectly heard in several interiors all over the game. There are also plenty of other improvements and bug fixes in the December 2 update. According to the official patch notes, which can be found further down this article, Warhorse Studios has also fixed barbers not working if previously killed when loading saves from version 1.3 or older, fixed the Bone Dome haircut clipping into view while reading a book when seated, and much more.
Sadly, today’s patch doesn’t include any new content, and it’s unlikely that there ever will be more content from Warhorse as the studio is pivoting away from its most recent RPG following the release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2‘s third and final DLC, known as Mysteria Ecclesiae. The expansion, which could be purchased separately or via the Expansion Pass, was released on November 11 and is considered the final chapter in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2‘s story. While Warhorse will still continue to support the game with new hotfixes (such as the one released today) and possibly even some new quality-of-life improvements, it seems as though there won’t be any new Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 content on the way.
Warhorse hasn’t confirmed what its next project is now that it’s wrapped up Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but the game’s communications director, Tobi Stolz-Zwilling, has previously noted that the studio will continue working in the RPG genre as Warhorse “feels at home” with the genre. He also said that the next project will “definitely be [an] immersive RPG.” So, while Kingdom Come: Deliverance fans may be disappointed to hear that the studio’s next game likely won’t be a third installment, it looks like it won’t stray far from the formula the studio has created.
The decision not to continue the Kingdom Come: Deliverance franchise will likely come as a surprise to most fans, especially given the huge success of its most recent entry. What isn’t a surprise, however, is that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has been nominated for Game of the Year at the 2025 Game Awards. It has some tough competition, though, as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Hades 2, and other standout titles are also in the running for the award. The ceremony will take place on December 11, where a winner will be crowned.
