Best Forgotten RPGs On Game Pass

One of the best things about Game Pass on Xbox systems and PC is the ability to play lengthy games and save some money at the same time. Right now, there are a lot of great RPGs on there that are critically acclaimed, like the Fable and Fallout franchises, Hogwarts Legacy, and Persona 4 Golden.

Great 30$ Games You Could Buy After Unsubcribing From Game Pass

If you’re miffed about the price increase for Game Pass Ultimate, these $30 games can provide a singular experience for that same $30 price tag.

While playing AAA titles like those is great, Game Pass can also help people discover RPGs they may have missed the first time around. They, too, may have received kind praise from players and reviewers alike, but they may not have reached peak status like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. So, let’s go through some fun choices starting from the most recent to the least recent.

Relic Hunters Legend

Still Semi-Fresh

  • Developer: Rogue Snail
  • Publisher: Rogue Snail
  • Released: 8/14/25
  • Platforms: PC and Xbox Series X/S

Relic Hunters Legend is a relatively new game released in August 2025 without much fanfare on Xbox systems and PC. It’s a shame because the game is a charming top-down action RPG that has a loot system, multiple characters to unlock, and a skill tree. In each dungeon, players can go in alone or with friends, battling countless enemies, which then leads to a boss.

The dungeons are short and sweet, and the shooter mechanics are easy to understand for all types of players. This makes Relic Hunters Legend especially alluring for a game night with friends.

Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden

Love Never Dies

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden was released in 2024 and was developed by Don’t Nod, who most may know from creating the Life is Strange series. This game begins with Antea, a sort of paranormal warrior who chases after ghouls and puts lost souls to rest, but after an opening mission, she dies.

Her partner, Ruaidhrigh, takes over the business, but because their love is so strong, Antea sticks around as a ghost to help him out. It’s good to think about Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden as a smaller action RPG experience akin to The Witcher games but with a sadder tone.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

A Spiritual Successor To Suikoden

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a turn-based RPG that was released in 2024. It is the second game in the series, preceded by 2022’s Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, which was a 2D action RPG. Overall, this franchise began as an homage to Suikoden, a long-forgotten RPG series by Konami.

The goal of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is to gather an obscene amount of party members in a rebellious war effort to stop an oppressive regime. For those who miss Suikoden and love HD-2D graphics, this is well worth checking out.
