Apple rumoured foldable iPhone: Community concerns

After years of rumours, Apple could finally launch its first foldable iPhone at its Surprise and Shine keynote later tonight (10 September, 1am SGT). The device is reportedly expected to use a wider, book-style design with a 5- to 6-inch cover display and an 8-inch inner screen – similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8. At the time of writing, 63 out of 76 respondents, or almost 83%, said that a price above S$3,000 would be a deal-breaker. This was comfortably ahead of every other concern in the poll, and it is not difficult to understand why. Current estimates suggest the foldable iPhone could start above that figure, potentially making it one of Apple’s most expensive consumer devices.
