Thundery showers also fell over parts of the island on most days in the last two weeks of November, with thundery showers and gusty winds on some nights.

Heavy thundery afternoon showers fell over many areas of the island on Nov 17, with Clementi clocking the highest rainfall recorded for the fortnight at 70.4mm.

The mercury reached a high of between 32 deg C and 34 deg C on most days in the latter two weeks of November, said the Met service.

The highest daily temperature during the period was 35.2 deg C, recorded at Paya Lebar on Nov 29.

Rainfall was below average in most parts of Singapore in those two weeks, with the area around Sembawang receiving half the average amount.

The area around Sentosa, however, had more rainy days, with 59 per cent more rainfall than average.
