Fortnite has entered its seventh Chapter, but it’s temporarily left out four of its most popular game modes. Fortnite had been in its sixth chapter for a year now, so most players were already pretty accustomed to its map, weapons, and quirks. Many players had been following the Jones and Hope storyline since Chapter 5 by completing missions and quests, but they were now ready to finally move onto a different part of the story.
The Zero Hour live event closed Fortnite Chapter 6 with a bang. Over 13 million people came together to watch it, whether it was through in-game experience or a livestream, but after waiting for hours for servers to come back up, players were ready for what Chapter 7 had to offer them. Fans must now explore Chapter 7 Season 1 so they can become as familiar with the seventh Battle Royale island as they did with the ones that came before it. Fortnite Pacific Break has given players 13 brand-new named locations to explore and countless landmarks. The Battle Bus has been destroyed, so in the meantime, players will have to ride a giant wave onto the island and see which of the POIs they’re able to reach so they can uncover all map locations as soon as possible. From the hot desert to snowy mountain peaks, the Pacific Break map has locations that will be appealing to any type of player.
How to Watch The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge in Fortnite
Kill Bill fans can watch Yuki’s Revenge, an exclusive lost chapter, in Fortnite – here’s how.
Epic Games Removes Reload, Blitz, and Fortnite OG
It seems like players might have more time to explore the new island than they would’ve thought, as they will lose access to four main game modes and will have to stick to the remaining ones. Fortnite has temporarily removed Ranked, Reload, Blitz Royale, and Fortnite OG. These are modes that became permanent in Fortnite due to popular demand. Unfortunately, during the first few days of Chapter 7, players won’t be able to enjoy them; they will only be able to play Save the World, Battle Royale, Creative Mode, Fortnite Festival, LEGO Fortnite, and Rocket Racing.
When Are Reload, Blitz, Ranked, and OG Coming Back to Fortnite?
- Blitz Royale: December 4
- Ranked Mode: December 4
- Fortnite Reload: December 4
- Fortnite OG: December 11
Some players will immediately feel alarmed when they notice that their favorite game modes are offline. However, they can rest easy, as they will only be unavailable until the first and second weeks of December. When players select any of these game modes in Fortnite, they will see a disclaimer that lets them know that, due to the destruction of the Battle Bus, they can no longer access Ranked, Reload, Blitz, and OG. However, below, it also tells them for how long they’ll be unavailable. These game modes are set to return on December 4 and 11. During this time, fans must complete the Battle Bus quests to help repair it in order to get these modes back online. As a plus, they will earn some free Fortnite cosmetics for their efforts.
Even though it’s a bummer that gamers don’t have access to all Fortnite game modes at the moment, they should make the most of this time by playing Battle Royale and exploring all the new features that have been added with the launch of Chapter 7. If they’ve stopped playing Battle Royale after the addition of any of these games, they might want to give it another try. The introduction of Simple Building might get them to enjoy the building mechanic again; they can search for the new Wingsuit and fly across the island to reveal every part of the map; and they can attempt to secure a Victory Royale and claim the new seasonal victory umbrella glider.
