6 New Games Are Coming to PS Plus on December 2, Including One of the Best Ever

PlayStation Plus subscribers should buckle up for Tuesday, December 2, which is set to be one of the busiest days the service will see all year. The first Tuesday of every month is always exciting for PlayStation Plus subscribers, as that’s when the new free games are added to the Essential tier. The monthly free PS Plus games are also available to those signed up for the Extra and Premium tiers, and so it’s reason for all PS Plus subscribers to celebrate.

Most of the time, the free PS Plus games consist of three titles spread across PS4 and PS5. For instance, the free PS Plus games for November 2025 are Stray, EA Sports WRC 24, and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator. Stray is an award-winning puzzle/platformer where players take on the role of a cat living in a futuristic world, while EA Sports WRC 24 is a racing game and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator is, as its name suggests, a battle simulator, but with silly physics thrown in for good measure. PS Plus subscribers that want to add these three games to their digital libraries have until Tuesday, December 2 to do so, at which point they will be replaced by the December 2025 free games.

PS Plus Subscribers Are Losing 9 Games in December

Subscribers of PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium are set to lose 9 more games next month, as some big titles will leave the service in December 2025.

Free PS Plus Games for December 2025 List

  • Killing Floor 3 (PS5)
  • LEGO Horizon Adventures (PS5)
  • Neon White (PS4/PS5)
  • Synduality: Echo of Ada (PS5)
  • The Outlast Trials (PS4/PS5)

Instead of just three games in December, PS Plus subscribers are being treated to five free games. On December 2, PS Plus subscribers can snag Killing Floor 3, LEGO Horizon Adventures, Neon White, Synduality: Echo of Ada, and The Outlast Trials. Neon White and The Outlast Trials have both native PS4 and PS5 versions available, while the rest of the games are only available on PS5. This will likely be a disappointing revelation for fans that have yet to upgrade from the PS4 to the PS5, and unfortunately, PS4 exclusion is only going to increase in the new year.

Sony confirmed months ago that PS Plus is going to stop focusing on PS4 starting January 2026. There will still be PS4 games added to PS Plus in 2026, but not at the volume that subscribers may be used to, and probably only when the game in question happens to be a cross-gen release. If a game is only on PS4, it’s highly unlikely that it will be added to any of the PS Plus tiers come 2026.

Red Dead Redemption is Also Coming to PS Plus on December 2

In the meantime, the monthly free games aren’t the only titles that subscribers have to look forward to on December 2. Those that are signed up for the Extra and Premium tiers can also check out Red Dead Redemption, which is getting a native PS5 release that day. The PS5 version of Red Dead Redemption will have performance upgrades when compared to the PS4 version of the game, and should be the definitive way to experience the critically-acclaimed western.

Six days later, PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers will be treated to Skate Story. Skate Story is a day one PS Plus Extra game about a skateboarding demon, and it will be coming ahead of the official monthly update for the Extra and Premium tiers, set to take place on December 16. We don’t know all the games that will be added to the Extra and Premium tiers of PS Plus on December 16, but we do know of some games leaving PS Plus that day, so subscribers may want to prioritize those titles before they’re gone.
