Volkswagen rear-ends another car in Ang Mo Kio, driver appears to be ‘under the influence’

A car was hit by a Volkswagen along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 on Nov 15 at about 9.20am.

The kicker? It appears that the car, SLN773L, is not registered in the Land Transport Authority’s database.

In a video posted on Facebook groups SGRV and SG Road Vigilante, the black Volkswagen can be seen approaching and rear-ending another car. The driver of the car that was hit is then seen stepping out to inspect the damage.

Moments later, a man in a long-sleeve shirt emerges from the black Volkswagen and walks over. He moves out of frame, apparently in discussion with the victim.

“He (wanted) a private settlement, but we refused,” the original poster said.

The poster added that the driver appeared to be “under the influence”, describing his eyes as unfocused and his walking unsteady.
