Did you know that using a plastic chair, traffic cone or even your own body to chope a public parking lot is illegal in BOTH Singapore and Malaysia? ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พ

In Malaysia, motorists who unlawfully block others from using a parking space could face a fine of up to **RM2,000 (around S$600)** for a first offence. Repeat offenders could be fined up to RM4,000 (around S$1,200) or face jail time of up to 12 months.

Singapore has similar rules under its Parking Places Rules. Anyone placing objects such as chairs, bins or cones to obstruct a public parking lot could face enforcement action.
