A woman has been recognised for her vigilance after identifying two suspected repeat shop thieves at Uniqlo’s Waterway Point outlet.
In a post shared on Punggol Neighbourhood Police Centre’s (NPC) Facebook page on Monday (Oct 19), Catherine, an assistant store manager at the clothing retailer, was praised for her keen observation and memory.
According to the post, Catherine had carefully reviewed closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of an earlier shop theft incident and remembered the suspects’ facial features and physical descriptions.
This helped her recognise the pair when they returned to the store weeks later, allowing her to take action to detain them and help prevent further offences.
