Singapore and Brunei on Monday (Oct 12) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Supply Chain Resilience, reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening supply chain resilience and ensuring the continued flow of essential goods during times of crisis.

The agreement was signed by Singapore’s Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations Grace Fu and Brunei’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies and Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Dato Dr Abdul Manaf Metussin at the second Singapore-Brunei Joint Committee Ministerial Meeting (JCMM), which was co-hosted by the two ministers.

According to the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry (METI), the JCMM serves as a key economic platform for Singapore and Brunei Darussalam to deepen economic ties and explore new areas of cooperation.

These include opportunities arising from Brunei’s economic diversification efforts, such as food security, the green economy and tourism, while advancing shared growth amid an evolving global economic landscape.
