After Singapore’s Beverage Container Return Scheme (BCRS) fully kicked in on Oct 1, more people have been returning empty drink containers to retrieve their deposits.

Some individuals, however, have been spotted approaching people outside Jurong Point to ask for their empty drink bottles and cans, raising questions about whether they are cashing in on the scheme.
