The “Home to Roost” quest in Arc Raiders is one of the lengthier, more difficult ones you’ll tackle following the ‘Frozen Trails’ update, but this one doesn’t involve the new map, Pendola Pass, whatsoever. The action for “Home to Roost” takes place entirely on Blue Gate, where you must head to the back of the tunnels and dodge the pops, fireballs, shredders, and any other Arc enemies you may find down there.
Here’s a complete walkthrough on how to complete the “Home to Roost” quest in Arc Raiders, including where to find the Mantikor locker room, how to read the last vehicle weighing logs, and how to transmit Mantikor’s last security recordings to Shani.
‘Home to Roost’ quest steps in Arc Raiders
There are eight quest steps for “Home to Roost” in Arc Raiders, and while it doesn’t actually need to be completed in one round, it does need to be done in order.
- Reach the back of the Blue Gate tunnels.
- Scan any android in the back of the Traffic Tunnels.
- Head to the Mantikor locker room.
- Search the locker room for any clues.
- Read the last vehicle weighing logs.
- Find the hidden key. (Optional)
- Enter the Confiscation Room.
- Transmit Mantikor’s last security recordings to Shani.
Where to find the back of the Blue Gate tunnels and scan an android
First up, you need to reach the back of the Blue Gate tunnels. If you’ve been playing Arc Raiders for a while, you’ll likely know where these are, but for anyone new to the map, you want to head for the area containing the Outer Gates, Warehouse Complex, Gate Control Room, and Headhouse.
Look for any path that will take you underground. There are loads of them in the area, and while the most obvious is through the Outer Gates, there will also likely be a Bastion or Bombardier patrolling this area. As soon as you get underground, open your map and you’ll see your map has switched to the lower level, and you’ll be able to see the Traffic Tunnel location.
The Traffic Tunnel splits in two at the bottom of the Headhouse, and touching the back wall of either of these roads counts as ticking the objective off, indicated by the circle on the map above. However, I’d recommend picking the one on the left (or the northbound road), because you also need to scan an android, and this path is full of them. They’re littered all over the floor, so approach one and interact with it to complete the second objective, indicated by the star on the map above.
Where to find the Mantikor locker room and the clues
Open the map again and head toward the Security Wing. As you approach, you’ll see a blue Mantikor sign above a locked door. Take note of this, as it’s where you’re headed later. For now, look to the right and go up the stairs. Follow the stairs to the top and the path around, killing any enemies that stand in your way. Then, take another right, and you’ll see a doorway to the locker room with another Mantikor sign on the wall inside.
Go into this room and the objective will update, telling you to search for clues. The clue you’re looking for is a red painting on the wall in the back corner. Approach it and interact with it to complete this objective.
Where to read the last vehicle weighing logs
Turn around and go back the way you came, down the stairs and out to where the locked door was. Look left, and you’ll see the vehicle weighing station in the road, with a rusted car inside. Go to the side of it that is almost touching the wall to find a terminal to interact with.
Once you’ve done this, a box will drop to the ground. Make sure you search it to find the spare key. This will grant you access to the final room to complete this quest.
Where to enter the Confiscation Room and transmit Mantikor’s last security recordings
Remember that locked door? Now that’s where you want to go, because the key will grant you access. Unlock the door, go inside, then go into the back room. Climb on top of the metal shelves in the middle of the room to find a shoebox with a prompt to transmit the security recording. Interact with it and voila! You’ve completed “Home to Roost.”
Return to Shani and she’ll reward you with 5,000 XP, a surge shield recharger, two sterilised bandages, and two antiseptic, along with the “Someone Else’s Shoes” quest.
