Ubisoft is shutting down its latest Rainbow Six game, which it first launched four years ago, the publisher announced Thursday. A spinoff of the popular tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege developed for Android and iOS devices, Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Mobile is being “sunset” in January 2027.
Rainbow Six Mobile‘s developers will “move on to other long-term strategic projects,” Ubisoft said.
“There’s no easy way to put it: we have made the difficult decision to sunset Rainbow Six Mobile,” Ubisoft said on the game’s official website. “The game will remain available until January 15, 2027. The next season will be released as planned next week.”

The game was originally announced in 2022 as “like the full-fat version of Rainbow Six Siege that everyone knows and loves,” but tailored for touchscreen devices.
