Xiaomi’s futuristic electric racer, the Vision Gran Turismo concept car, is heading to Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 7 later this month. The announcement was made during Round 3 of the Gran Turismo World Series 2026 in Singapore over the weekend, where series producer Kazunori Yamauchi appeared alongside Jean-Arthur Madelaine, Head of Design at Xiaomi’s Europe R&D and Design Centre.
Xiaomi is the 36th brand to participate in the Vision Gran Turismo project, and the first technology company to do so. Started in 2013, the programme invites manufacturers to design cars specifically for the Gran Turismo videogame series – without having to factor in considerations such as production costs.
