Staff have been advised to minimise prolonged outdoor exposure when air quality deteriorates, stay hydrated and seek medical attention if they experience haze-related symptoms.
The bank has also asked managers to pay particular attention to employees who may be more vulnerable to the effects of haze, including those who are elderly, pregnant or have underlying medical conditions.
Flexible work arrangements can be discussed where appropriate, said OCBC’s head of group operational risk management Gary Chong.
