JBL’s latest karaoke microphones remove vocals with AI, with a smartphone version available too

JBL has its fingers in nearly every consumer lifestyle audio pie. Beyond its audiophile-grade L100 bookshelf speakers, it now offers a robust range of karaoke microphones in various form factors. 

We are now joined by two 2026 additions: an AI-powered karaoke microphone that removes the original vocals from your track, and a portable content-creation mic that doubles as a karaoke mic for your smartphone.

JBL EasySing Mics

The JBL EasySing Mics look like typical karaoke microphones, but with one twist: they come with on-device AI Vocal Removal, allowing you to reduce the song’s original vocals by 25%, 50%, or 100% via the JBL One app. Vocal removal happens in real time with any song of choice, sparing your friend group from hunting down karaoke-only versions of niche genres or curating a special playlist for karaoke night.

The app also offers EQ controls and singing presets, letting the adventurous, overconfident singers on your crew add effects like reverb and echo.

Other hardware features include a built-in pop filter and a shock mount system, which reduce breathing noises and screeching feedback when two mics come too close together.

Additionally, select JBL PartyBox speakers get plug-and-sing compatibility. At a glance, it’s quite a broad list across several price points and speaker form factors, so you’re not forced into buying a pricey speaker.

It comes in a set of two — for duets, naturally — and includes a USB-C dongle to receive the microphone’s wireless input (namely, your voice). The set also includes a USB-A adapter for the dongle, in case your home karaoke system doesn’t have a USB-C port.

Each mic has up to 10 hours of battery life, with a 30-metre wireless range. Specs include a 16mm ECM microphone head; each mic weighs 195g and offers a dynamic range of 98dBA @ 1KHz.

JBL EasySing Mic Mini

You don’t need to have a living room karaoke system to enjoy singing. The JBL EasySing Mic Mini takes those karaoke features, and compresses all of them into the size of a content creation smartphone mic.

It also has AI Vocal Removal, but the whole setup (dongle and mic) packs into a pocket-sized carrying case. The microphone connects via Bluetooth 5.3 (A2DP V1.4, AVRCP V1.6), USB-C, and Aux Out, giving it versatile support for smartphones, speakers, and even laptops. The dongle and mic use 2.4GHz wireless connectivity to maintain reliable, stable audio throughout the session.

When you’re not singing your heart out, the microphone also doubles as a portable mic for content creation and voiceovers for your short videos. It weighs a mere 37g and offers up to 6 hours of battery life.

Besides the two mics and AI dongle, the box also includes a charging case, a magnetic handle, another magnetic clip, and a carrying pouch to hold them all. Notably, the mic set doesn’t require cables, which is a huge plus for talking-head recordings.
