RSAF activates Rescue 10 to airlift person requiring ‘urgent medical attention’ from ship to SGH, Singapore News


The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF)’s search-and-rescue unit Rescue 10 was activated on Saturday (Sept 12) to evacuate a person from a ship at sea to the Singapore General Hospital (SGH).

In a Facebook post uploaded on Saturday, the RSAF shared that the H225M medium lift helicopter was employed to evacuate the person who needed “urgent medical attention”.

“Our aircrew safely transferred the patient to SGH for further medical care. Another mission accomplished through precision, teamwork, and round-the-clock readiness.” the post said.

Photographs posted by RSAF also showed the helicopter arriving on SGH’s new helipad along College Road, in vicinity of the hospital’s new emergency department.
