ROG Xbox Ally X20 & Xreal R1 gaming bundle

ROG first showed off its ROG Xbox Ally X20 and ROG Xreal R1 Edition 20 bundle as part of its 20th-anniversary celebrations at a private fan event, but stopped short of revealing when it would be available or how much it would cost. We now have the answer, and it is certainly not going to be an impulse purchase.

The exhaustingly-long-to-type ROG Xbox Ally X20 and ROG Xreal R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses Ultimate Bundle will be available for pre-order in Singapore from 14 September 2026 and priced at S$3,599. It will be sold exclusively through the ASUS Online Store.

As mentioned in our earlier coverage, the Edition 20 collection is given a black-and-gold anniversary treatment across PC components, peripherals and other ROG hardware. The centrepiece in this bundle is the ROG Xbox Ally X20, a special-edition handheld finished in translucent black with a gold internal structure.

The differences between the original ROG Xbox Ally X and the X20 aren’t just limited to aesthetics. The latter comes with an improved 7.4-inch Full HD ROG Nebula HDR OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Power wise, it still runs on AMD’s Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, accompanied by 24GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB M.2 2280 SSD. The X20 also has an 80Wh battery, but crucially, the handheld also introduces drift-resistant TMR joysticks.

The ROG Xreal R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses connects directly to the X20 through a single USB-C cable, and uses Sony micro-OLED displays to produce a virtual screen measuring up to an impressive 171-inch. The glasses support refresh rates of up to 240Hz using frame-rate boost, along with a 57-degree field of view, built-in audio tuned by Bose and native three-degrees-of-freedom tracking. I am still in the midst of testing the non-Edition 20 version of the same glasses, and my early impressions of it is very positive.

If you’re hoping for the Edition 20 version of the Xbox Ally X20 or the Xreal glasses to be sold separately, tough luck – it’s not likely. The only way, for now at least, to own them is through this S$3,599 bundle.
